Quite an interesting site for unsuspecting motorists

Not your typical construction site

Imagine you’re driving to work, down Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, NC. It’s barely past dawn, and as you get closer to a small construction site, you come across this little work of art. Barrel Monster, the culmination of boredom and art, had his materials stolen from the site, and returned to direct traffic, albeit in the creepiest manner possible.

The NCSU student responsible is a self proclaimed graffiti artist, who was recently interviewed by The Technician. Going by the name “U Live and Burn,” to protect himself from law enforcement, he was quoted by the NCSU paper:

“I kidnapped a couple of barrels — a few at a time because they’re really big — brought them back to my place, laid them out in my living room,” U Live and Burn said. “My roommate was sitting there shaking his head at me because he knows I’m an idiot. . . . ”

While I’m sure it got quite a few laughs from passing motorists, local law enforcement was none too pleased, and has taken U Live and Burn into custody on larceny charges. While it is an impressive piece of work, you can’t get away with everything. More of his exploits and stupidity can be seen at his site, nopromiseofsafety.com.
